VISION + GOALs
Repair Revolution repackages and elevates the repair experience. Our goals are to:
- - Support skilled artisans and repair professionals
- - Educate + inspire the community around repair
- - Grow appreciation for our goods
- - Reduce barriers to repair and make it easy for people to fix the things they love
WHY WE DO IT
We aim to help create the regenerative economy that we all deserve. We oppose the destructive forces wrought from needless consumption and planned obsolescence. We cannot allow our clothes, shoes, furniture, electronics, etc. to be thought of as disposable. There is a better way.
We promote circular economy principles that envision a world where products are well designed and materials are supported by repair and remanufacturing. We do this by supporting local and independent professional repair shops in Oakland, CA and work in partnership with those who believe in creating prosperity for our local economy, community, and ecosystems.
JAMIE FACCIOLA, FOUNDER
As a former corporate sustainability professional, Jamie,
frustrated with an economic system that prioritizes profit over human, natural,
and social capital, took to the local repair community to build a company that decouples
environmental impact from growth. The intention behind Repair
Revolution is to nurture a simple, positive feedback loop: Buy what you love.
Fix what you buy. Love what you fix.
Jamie proudly resides in Oakland, CA, is a third generation East Bay resident, and granddaughter of an upholsterer.
